ABSTRACT
According to Dudeney (2007:7), ‘Technology has been around in language teaching for decades. Tape recorders, language laboratories and video have been in use since the 1960s and 1970s, and are still used in classrooms around the world.’ However, many of us seem to be afraid of new technologies and, thus, ‘avoid’ using them in the classroom. Can technology be applied effectively into the classroom without actually being a computer expert? The aim of this session is to explore some of the major innovations in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and their applications in English Language Teaching.
